Wine description

A Banfi family jewel, Brunello Poggio all'Oro is a single vineyard wine produced exclusively in the great vintages.

Tasting Notes

A Brunello with a complex personality, which is expressed to the nose through a series of scents that are expressed slowly, from licorice, coffee, plum jam and tobacco to end even with a slight hint of violet . The refined structure is in perfect balance with the acid part, which excellently supports the long persistence.

Vinification

Produced only in excellent vintages based on a meticulous selection of the harvested grapes. Temperature controlled (25-30°) vinification in Horizon hybrid stainless steel & wood tanks, with skin contact for 12-14 days.

Ageing

Aged for 30% in barriques and for the 70% in French oak casks (90-60 hl) for 30 months, plus at least 12-18 months bottle aging before release.
