Wine description

The Terre di Leone's Dedicatum is produced with a blend of 14 traditional Valpolicella and other native grapes. The result is a wine with intense aromas with interesting spicy notes due to aging in wood. On the palate it is soft and with good tannins.

Tasting Notes

Garnet red color. On the nose plum jam, rosemary, licorice stick, cocoa, black pepper, leather and grilled pepper. Soft in the mouth; full-bodied and with fine tannins. Fresh and bitter in the finish.

Vinification

The grapes are de-stemmed and not pressed. Cold maceration in stainless steel tanks for 8 days and fermentation at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

In French oak barriques (2,25hl) and tonneaux (5hl) for about 18 months and then in bottle for at least 18 months.
