Produced only in the best vintages, the Excelsus is a Supertuscan that perfectly integrates the best tradition of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with the territory of Montalcino and with the tradition of Castello Banfi. The Toscana Rosso IGT "Excelsus" from Castello Banfi is an austere wine, of rare concentration and structure, whose maturation requires a passage in barriques for at least 20 months.
