Wine description

I Favati's Irpinia Campi Taurasini Cretarossa it's a red wine made with 100% Aglianico grapes, left to age for at least 18 months between barriques, tonneaux and large barrels. Powerful and strong, but at the same time capable of expressing a beautiful harmony, both in the aromas and in the taste, it is a truly Aglianico not to be missed: taste it and you will not regret it!

Tasting Notes

Color: bright ruby red. Scent: the nose is classic and intense, with fruity hints of blackberry, cherry and sour cherries, followed by hints of undergrowth and tobacco, and lastly enriched with balsamic and mentholated memories. Taste: the tannic texture is important but well tamed, full-bodied and long persistence.

Vinification

Alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature.

Ageing

12/24 months in wooden barrels of first and second usage.
