Wine description

Kasteel-Neef captures the warmer, more Mediterranean side of Voor-Paardeberg. Built around Grenache and supported by Carignan and Syrah, it offers a fresh and expressive interpretation of the region's distinctive terroir. The vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of the Paardeberg, where decomposed granite and shale soils contribute both mineral freshness and structure. The blend has a clear Southern Rhône influence, with Grenache providing generous fruit while Carignan and Syrah add spice, depth and backbone. Fragrant and vibrant, Kasteel-Neef combines red and dark berry fruit with subtle herbal and savoury notes. It is a characterful, medium-to-full-bodied red with plenty of personality and an elegant sense of place.
