Wine description

The Frescobaldi's "Luce" is the very first wine produced in Montalcino by combining the grapes of the Sangiovese and Merlot vines. After more than twenty years that the first bottle was released on the market, Luce keeps celebrating the uniqueness that made him famous all over the world.

Tasting Notes

Of a dark ruby red color, it has a deep and complex bouquet of wild berries, dried flowers, balsamic and mentholated herbs and, above all, sweet spices. The taste is structured, tannic and intense, with an exuberant freshness.

Vinification

Fermentation in steel for 12 days with maceration on the skins for 4 weeks.

Ageing

24 months in barriques, 85% new
