Wine description

The Terre di Leone's Valpolicella Classico Superiore is made with a blend of 40% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella, 10% Molinara, 5% Oseleta grapes, coming from the vineyards in Marano di Valpolicella and Fumane.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red color. Typical aromas, fruity scents of cherry and red berry fruits with delicate spicy notes due to aging in wood. On the palate it is soft, pleasant and of good volume.

Vinification

Handmade harvest in with subsequent drying for about 100 days. Cold maceration in stainless steel vats for 12 days and fermentation at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

Aging in French oak tonneaux of 5HL and in 25HL French oak barrels for about 20 months and then in the bottle for at least 10 months.
